Flood event
Code of practice for property flood resilience, Edition 2, published by CIRIA in 2020, defines a flood event as: ‘The occurrence (at source) of a flood hazard (such as surface water, river flooding). This is often used in accordance with a probability of a flood occurring (eg 1 in 100 flood event – or one per cent annual chance of meeting or exceeding this level).’
